I support Sonic x Mina because I know it will make Mina happy. She pretends to be happy now, but I know she is really not. Sonic still has feelings for Mina too. Mina risked her life to save Sally because she wanted HIM to be happy. If thats not a sign that she cares I dont know what is...

I suppose I like Sonic/Mina in Archie because it's dynamic was...realistic and beleivable. Sonic wasn't all brawns, and Mina wasn't always relied on as the brains. They formed plans together. Meaning sometimes one formed a plan, the other could another time. Sometimes Sonic convinced Mina to do the right thing, sometimes Mina convinced Sonic not to be so hasty herself. Both were willing to step in on the other's day of shortcommings, which reveals the imperfections and lack of consistancy people can have with the roles/strengths to which they're assigned. Some charachters who always have the tact or always have the mechanical genius seem two dimensional, because we are not going to always be able to exploit our strengths in certain circumstances. Sonic and Mina could also depend on each other emotionally when they needed to break down, whether they could relate to the loss or not, and have always maintained a companionship despite whatever comes between them. I'm not a sucker for passionate love, because-- aside from emotional arousal there's not much substance, depth or dynamic to that sort of pairing after awhile. As a viewer I find that boring.  Passionate love becomes a very stale to watch drag on... which is sadly not uncommon for some of the Archie couples.


I support SonicXMina because I think it is a couple that could work out. Mina can hold up her own quite nicely and she can take care of herself, not to mention is downright sweet and self-sacrificing. She jumped in front of a bullet to save Sally, even though Sally probably would not have done the same for her. Mina loves Sonic THAT much...that she would have killed herself over saving the one that he loved. And it's obvious Sonic cares for Mina. Maybe not in a love way right now, but someday he just might see how Mina's always been there for him and how she's always loved him. They make a couple that's believable and down-to-earth.
